Pagan Battle of the Bands
2007 Pagan Battle of the Bands
This years Central NC Pagan Pride Day will feature a Pagan Battle of the Bands. Some of the area's finest bands will compete for a cash prize, with the winner to be voted on by you. Each person will be given a special ticket, upon entering PPD. This ticket will be used to vote for your favorite band. So if there's a band out here you know, come out and support them. If not, come out and listen to these groups play their hearts out and pick the winner. Special thanks goes out to Paul ("you da man"), for the use of his PA System, without which there would be no PPD PBB, and to Daddio Mangum (whose talents include Technical Director and Musician for Lighting, A/V, and CG&D) for being our Sound Man. Play On!
"We come from
"7 Stitches is a musical project born in Hickory, North Carolina, in early 2005. The band’s main purpose was a seamless blending from aggressive metal based styles to a whole melodic and melancholic universe, without falling into easy formulas, clichés, or the lack of life that is known to a great part of the bands within the Metal scene." "Crap Rock. A solid mix of classic punk, three-chord rock, alternative/Indie riffs and lyrics that reflect the broken heartedness of a country song, Crap Rock reflects back to punk-style garage rock and Indie rock from the 1980s. The cohesiveness, passion, and innate talents of all the band members shine through both in this live recording and during their live performances, achieving a sound that hints at the musical stylings of The Replacements, Weezer, Pixies, Husker Du, Pavement and early Nirvana." "What do you get when you blend soulful lyrics with delicously wicked chords? A feeling of introspection that makes you want to want to groove along! Dischordia blends the ideas of freemoving music with evocative expression to create a brand of music that can not be defined nor defied. Or was that defiled? Oh well, all we really know is that it's just so damned fun!" For more information on Dischordia, go to http://www.doyouheardischordia.com
