Paul

Greetings and salutations blessed people.  I’m the guy in charge of Security and First Aid for this year’s Pagan Pride Day in Raleigh, which means that I shouldn’t have a lot to do, given the history of this event.  None the less, if there is a problem, with Fire, Rescue, and Military Police training, the buck stops here.  So, as my good friend Johnson said, on to the bio …

I hail from Massachusetts, home of two Presidents and Indians who didn’t like tea.  While I like tea (hot, not iced), I’d have no problem throwing it overboard for a good cause.  I moved to North Carolina in 1988 when defense spending, and the jobs it created, dried up in New England.  I’m now considered a damned Yankee because I decided to stay here … shrug.

I’ve been around long enough to qualify for the title of Sage and I’ve been in the craft long enough to feel comfortable with my personal path, an eclectic mix of paganism and metaphysics.  My faith is my own, but my heart is ecumenical.  We’re far more alike than different.

In practice, I am a scientist, a technologist with three decades in the field.  I consider myself a good scientist in that I don’t constrain myself to the black and white of narrow minded perceptions but appreciate the possibilities we have yet to discover.  It is for that reason that I began a study of Usui Reiki in 1998, recognizing that my esoteric interest in the study of energy in its many physical and metaphysical aspects was an obvious precursor to energy work.  I now walk a path of healing facilitation, having received my Master certification in 2004.

Pagan pride is important to me.  Our faith is our humanity, regardless of form.  I am honored to be helping out at this year’s event and encourage you to come out and celebrate your own personal faith in the unity of spirit called “Pagan Pride Day”

Blessed be
